Balsamic Onion & Steak Sliders

Stacked, saucy, and built to impress, these Balsamic Onion & Steak Sliders bring serious flavor in a small package. Ingredients

  • 2 12oz. packages of Heritage Shaved Ribeye Steak
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 large yellow onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 6 slices yellow American cheese
  • 1 cup special sauce
  • 12 slider buns, sliced in half horizontally and lightly toasted

Directions

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onions, Worcestershire sauce and balsamic vinegar, and cook until softened and lightly caramelized, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  2. Increase heat to medium-high. Add shaved steak, and season with salt and pepper. Cook, pulling apart with a wooden spoon or spatula, until golden-brown and thoroughly cooked, about 3-4 minutes. Top evenly with cheese and remove from heat.
  3. Spread special sauce evenly over the bottom half of each slider bun. Top with steak and cheese, sauteed balsamic onions and top buns, and serve.

Tip: To make special sauce, combine 1 cup mayonnaise, 1/4 cup ketchup, 1/4 cup sweet pickle relish and 2 tablespoons mustard in a small bowl.
