Ingredients

  • 1 14oz. package of Heritage Shaved Chicken Breast
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons fajita seasoning, divided
  • 1 red onion, sliced
  • 1 each red and green bell pepper, sliced
  • 12 6-inch flour or corn tortillas
  • 1/2 head iceberg lettuce, shredded
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • Homemade or store-bought salsa, for serving
  • Sour cream, for serving

Tip: Create your own Fajita seasoning by combining 2 teaspoons chili powder, 1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt, 1 teaspoon ground paprika, 1 teaspoon sugar, 1 teaspoon onion powder, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin and 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper together in small bowl. Fajita seasoning can be stored in an airtight container for up to 1 year.

Directions

  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat oil. Add Heritage Shaved Chicken breast and 2 tablespoons fajita seasoning, and cook, stirring occasionally, until brown and cooked thoroughly, about 7-10 minutes. Transfer to plate.
  2. To the same skillet, add onions, peppers and remaining fajita seasoning. Cook, stirring occasionally, until tender, about 4-6 minutes. Return chicken to skillet and toss to combine.
  3. Top tortillas with chicken and vegetable mixture, lettuce, cheese, salsa and sour cream. Serve and enjoy.

Tip: To char corn tortillas, simply heat a large skillet or griddle over high heat. Working in batches, cook tortillas until lightly charred, about 30 seconds per side. Repeat with remaining tortillas.
