One-Pot Cajun Chicken Pasta
Heritage Shaved Chicken Breast bathed in Cajun seasoning, topped with Parmesan, parsley, and a hint of crushed red pepper flakes for a delightful and effortless meal.
Ingredients
- 1 14oz. package of Heritage Shaved Chicken Breast
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 each red and green bell pepper, chopped
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning, divided
- 1 15 oz. can fire-roasted diced tomatoes
- 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- Grated Parmesan cheese, for garnish
- Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
- Crushed red pepper flakes, for garnish
Tip: Add sliced andouille sauce to create a heartier meal!
Directions
- In a large straight-sided skillet over medium-high heat, heat oil. Add Heritage Shaved Chicken breast and cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes. Add pepper and 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning, and cook until chicken is thoroughly cooked and peppers are tender, about 3-5 minutes. Transfer to a plate and set aside.
- Add pasta, tomatoes, broth and remaining Cajun seasoning, and bring to a boil. Cook, stirring often, until pasta is tender and a sauce forms, about 10-14 minutes.
- Add chicken mixture and cream and toss to coat. Top with Parmesan, parsley and crushed red pepper flakes. Serve and enjoy.
