Hearty Heritage Stew
Tasty beef and tender veggies in a rich brown broth, this fast and easy family favorite is made even better with Heritage Ribeye Steak Cubes.
Ingredients
- 1 12oz. package of Heritage Ribeye Steak Cubes
- 1.5 tablespoons flour
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1.5 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 3 cups beef broth
- 1/4 cup red wine (optional)
- 1/2 could potatoes peeled and cubed
- 2 carrots cut into 1 inch pieces
- 2 stalks celery cut into 1 inch pieces
- 1.5 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary or 1 sprig fresh
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon water
- 3/8 cup peas

Directions
- Combine flour, garlic powder, salt and pepper and toss Heritage Ribeye Steak Cubes into the flour mixture coating evenly.
- In a large Dutch oven or pot heat the olive oil and cook the Heritage Ribeye Steak Cubes and onions until beef is brown.
- Add beef broth and red wine to the the beef while deglazing the pan.
- Stir in the remaining ingredients except for the peas, cornstarch and water.
- Reduce heat to medium low, cover and simmer 1 hour or until beef is tender.
- To achieve desired consistency, mix equal parts cornstarch and water and slowly add to the boiling stew.
- Stir in peas and simmer 5 minutes before serving.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
